Facebook posts can be very effective in generating interest, convincing more people to visit your website regularly and building a large list of followers. And your I.T.ZAP website is optimized to help you do exactly that … easily !
So you have your Facebook page all set up. And your website is decked out with “Like”, “Recommend” and “Share” buttons. The very first piece of advice I will give you is …
The wrong way …
Please do not post to Facebook using the “Share” button on your website page. This is the wrong way, because the post will then be made under your Personal Name, and NOT under your Facebook Business Page name. That's an easy mistake to make. The “Share” button is intended for use by your visitors, not you as the Website Administrator.
The right way to share your website pages on Facebook
(1) Open the page you would like to share in a browser tab.
Right-click in the browser address bar to highlight the entire webpage URL address.
Now click "Copy" (or press Ctrl + C on the keyboard).
(2) IF this is a NEW page that has never been shared on Facebook before
This is an optional step (but recommended). Open a new browser tab and visit the Facebook Sharing Debugger Tool webpage here :
Bookmark that page in your browser Favorites, because you will likely use it often.
On the "Enter URL" line, right-click and "Paste" in your webpage URL address (or press Ctrl + V on the keyboard). Then click the "Debug" button. Wait a moment while the webpage code is crawled. Then the results will appear.
The Debugger Tool Results should look something like this.
Great ! Facebook has saved your new webpage details. Now we are ready.
(3) Open a new browser tab and go to your Business Facebook page
In the Facebook "Status" box, right-click and "Paste" in your webpage URL address.
Wait a moment for all the page details to appear, including the preview photo.
(4) Now highlight the webpage URL you just pasted and press DELETE
You do not need that webpage URL in the Facebook Status post any longer, so just delete it.
Type in a catchy description for your Facebook Post and then click "Publish".
Otherwise, you can leave the description blank and just "Publish".
You are done !
Anybody who clicks your Facebook Post will be directed to your website page. And hopefully you will get plenty of "Likes", "Shares" and "Comments" as well.
